ORGANISERS of an event looking at how sharing a name with the world’s most famous secret agent are promising another special guest for the Oswestry event.

After securing the coup of bringing director Matt Bauer for an event on Thursday, June 8 showing ‘The Other Fellow’ – based on the classic line uttered by George Lazenby about his predecessor (and successor) Sean Connery in his one and only outing as James Bond – organisers say a second guest is now lined up.

James Bond, from Oswestry Film Society, says the event at KinoKulture, in Arthur Street, will be joined by a VIP ‘closely associated’ with an actor who has been part of the 007 universe.

James added: “What a coup this is turning out to be for the Oswestry Film Society.

“Not only is international film director Matt Bauer joining us this coming Thursday, June 8 for the regional launch of his international docu-drama The Other Fellow but so too is someone closely associated with a Bond movie star.

“The film is about how the celebrity fame of James Bond has affected people around the world actually called that.
