PLANS to mark the King's coronation later this year will form a key part of Chirk Town Council's meeting this week.
Councillors will gather for their monthly meeting tomorrow (Wednesday, March 29) and will look to confirm how the town will mark the Royal event which takes place on Saturday, May 6.
Other items on the agenda include looking at a lottery grant bid which will be submitted for the Chirk Carnival later in the summer.
There will be a discussion following correspondence received regarding a fire at the town's Kronospan factory in 2020.

Councillors will also receive their monthly report from the police and they will note the content of a Legionella’s Risk Assessment Report for the Parish Hall.
Members will also receive oral reports from council representatives and local members.
The meeting, which takes place at Chirk Parish Hall in Holyhead Road, starts at 7pm, and can also be attended remotely via Zoom.
Meanwhile, the date of the annual town meeting has been confirmed and will take place on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. There is a request for items to be included on the agenda.
