A CAR caught fire near Oswestry on Saturday afternoon (January 21).
Firefighters from Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting that a car was on fire on Oswestry Road, Whittington.
A fire appliance was mobilised at 4.38pm and the crews used a hosereel jet to tackle the blaze.

A spokesperson from SFRS said: "The fire involved an engine compartment, and crews used hose reel jet to extinguish it."
A stop call confirming no further assistance was needed was sent to control at 5.15pm.
