DC League of Super-Pets (PG)

Jared Stern makes his feature film directorial debut with a computer-animated comedy on two and four legs, based on DC Comics characters who first appeared in print 60 years ago.

Adapted for the screen by Stern and John Whittington, DC League Of Super-Pets goes for walkies with Krypto the Super-Dog (voiced by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson), who fights alongside Superman (John Krasinski) in Metropolis as a dynamic double act.

When Superman’s arch-nemesis Lex Luthor (Marc Maron) neutralises the Man Of Steel and other members of the Justice League including Batman (Keanu Reeves), Wonder Woman (Jameela Jamil), The Flash (John Earl) and Green Lantern (Dascha Polanco), Krypto takes the lead.

He assembles a crack team of newly superpowered animal shelter pets comprising Ace the hound (Kevin Hart), PB the pot-bellied pig (Vanessa Bayer), Merton the turtle (Natasha Lyonne) and Chip the squirrel (Diego Luna).

Together, the misfit critters harness newly acquired superpowers to save the world from disaster in its most terrifying and hairless form: Lex Luther’s guinea pig Lulu (Kate McKinnon).

But the big question is, will they succeed?
