A MAN who admitted his part in a drugs conspiracy to bring cocaine into North Wales from Liverpool made nearly £250,000 from the enterprise.
Jason Maddocks-Jones, 36, of Highfields, Chirk, received a six year sentence two years ago.
Maddocks-Jones, 36, was at Mold Crown Court for a financial hearing under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Judge Niclas Parry made an agreed order that his criminal benefit amounted to £249,565.
His assets amounted to £31,957, an investigation by the regional asset recovery team shown.
The judge gave him three months to pay and warned him that he would have to serve 18 months imprisonment in default.
Barrister John Philpotts, prosecuting, said the assets including cars and personalised number plates – together with a part share in a garage which had been put up for sale.
At the time of the sentencing hearing, Judge Parry described the plot as a sophisticated operation to bring drugs into North Wales resulting in large profits.
