THEY’RE under starter's orders for the biggest event yet in the Advertizer's campaign to raise funds for Hope House Children's Hospice.
We're staging a racenight at Oswestry Cricket Club on Friday, May 1 – and it promises to be a really fun night.
Nine races will be shown on the big screen and the highlight of the evening will be the auction race – conducted by your MC for the evening, the hilarious Dave Vart.
Oswestry Cricket Club is donating the venue without charge and the first race will be off at 8pm. The racing will be followed by a disco.
Tickets cost £5 are already selling well. They are available in reception at the Advertizer's office in Oswald Road, Oswestry.
If you want to become involved before the night, contact us if you are able to sell a sheet of "owners, trainers and jockeys". The number to call is 01691 655321.
