A “POSITIVE” meeting between trustees of Llanfyllin Workhouse and council officials had taken place.
The gathering in Welshpool with Powys County Council licence officers, an environmental health officer and Dyfed-Powys Police took place on Wednesday after issues arose regarding the entertainment being put on at the popular venue.
Councillor Peter Lewis, who also attended, told Llanfyllin Town Council: “It was a very positive meeting. They said what the would like to see and the trustees know they have to move forward and change.
“The trustees are coming back to environmental health regarding the events taking place, how many there are, the timings, the music; but they are very much trying to reduce it.”
However, Cllr Lewis added that any public meeting would be “premature” if it took place before the trustees return to the council following their own meeting.
