HUNDREDS of people turned out for yet another fantastic Ellesmere Carnival.

The annual event, which took place on Saturday, kicked-off with the main parade at 1pm when the town was filled with all manner of themed floats, dancing troupes, marching bands and vintage vehicles.

The Carnival King Callum Jones and Carnival Queen Chelsea Pearce also join the parade. Once the parade was over revellers headed down to Cremorne Gardens where there was an array of food stalls, children’s rides, tea and cakes and a licensed bar.

The afternoon was filled with displays and awards and towards the end of the day the trophies were handed out to the various prize winners.

But it didn’t end there. This year broke the tradition of having a night parade and instead Ellesmere Carnival Rocks featured a host of talented artists bands, such as Christie Moorhouse, The Kickstones, and Fallen Angel.
