CHART star Paloma Faith has pulled out of OsFest less than three weeks before the event.
The Picking up the Pieces singer apologised to fans and organisers after cancelling her DJ-set due to “reasons beyond her control”.
The 33-year-old had been due to take to the main stage on the Saturday of the two-day event on Oswestry Show ground which takes place on August 9 and 10, and will also see popstar Conor Maynard, former X Factor contestants Union J and chart-topping rapper Wiley perform.
In a statement her solicitors said: “Paloma is unable to attend due to a professional commitment that her record label undertook on her behalf without her knowledge prior to her OsFest booking being contracted.
“Paloma personally attaches huge importance to honouring her obligations particularly to independent organisations such as yours, and her team have used their best endeavours to shift the video dates to accommodate her OsFest gig, but have ultimately been unsuccessful.”
Paloma is also expecting to issue a public apology via Twitter.
On their website, the OsFest team said: “We are very sorry to announce that Paloma Faith has had to cancel her DJ set at OsFest on Saturday, August 9.
"We have done everything possible to try and reverse this decision but this has been out of OsFest’s control.
“We are naturally disappointed and apologise for any inconvenience that this causes.”
