AN ELDERLY man was treated for multiple serious injuries after a crash in Oswestry.
Emergency services were called to the Maesbury Road area shortly before 11.30am.
A fire crew from Oswestry attended the collision between a lorry and a saloon car. The crews made the car safe using small gear and environmental grab pack.
A statement from the West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to Maes Y Clawdd, Maesbury Road at 11.17am, to reports of a collision between a car and a stationary lorry. One ambulance attended the scene.
"We treated one patient, an elderly man, who was from the car and had managed to self-extricate. He was treated for multiple serious injuries at the scene before being transported to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further assessment.”
