A GROUP of church goers have done their bit to raise funds for a nationwide campaign to help people affected by cancer.
Members of Preeshenlle United Reformed Church in Gobowen were pleased with the attendance at a World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
A spokesman said: “ Thank you to all who helped on the day and also those who came along to make it a most enjoyable morning.”
People across Oswestry and the surrounding area were among the legions of people throughout the UK who raised funds by holding coffee mornings for Macmillan on Friday, September 28.
The campaign has raised more than £200 million since its launch in 1990.
While the official day has passed, coffee mornings can still be held.
