Reading from The Book of Common Prayer, 14 Moretonians took to the podium in the annual Sarah Parkes Competition, held at Moreton Hall.
The competition, created by Dr Giles Parkes in memory of his late daughter Sarah, was judged by Reverend Simon Airey and Sarah’s sister Celia Jenkins.
This year’s senior winners were Florence Tyne and Zoe Tse, and junior runners Isabella Harpin and Mena Aghoghomena.
Moreton Hall’s Head of Spoken English, Merriel Halsall Williams said: “The girls all worked really hard and read with confidence and clarity. The quality of the speakers was once again excellent.”
