The British Ironwork Centre has been recognised as an official Employer Partner to a Shropshire-based employment team.

Enable was created as a way to help those furthest away from employment find a suitable career path, and the company relies on its business partnerships to create valuable and lasting relationships.

Clive Knowles, chairman of the Ironworks, said: "We have loved working with Enable so far and are so proud to announce that we have been recognised as an official Enable Employer Partner.

"Madeline Edwards from Enable awarded us with a certificate of appreciation, thanking us for being an excellent supportive employer of people with disabilities.

"We received this wonderful award after taking on two Enable clients for invaluable work experience positions. Will and Lee joined us in logistics and the showroom learning the ins and outs of everyday working life.

"Working alongside two of our site managers, the boys explored their existing skillsets whilst gaining new knowledge about the industries. It was a pleasure having them here and we hope they had a great time and took away a mountain of new knowledge with them.

"In the future, we would love to provide other work experience opportunities to new Enable clients, and beyond. Our work experience opportunities range from marketing in our offices all the way to catering in our kitchens, and everything else in-between. With so many career avenues available here at the centre, there truly is something for everyone."
