IF YOU'RE looking for style, substance and sophistication at a reasonable price, then Townhouse in Oswestry is just the place.

Situated in Willow Street, Townhouse is a bar and brasserie that offers delicious meals using the freshest local ingredients, and with a new menu on offer, there is sure to be something for people of all ages to enjoy.

The new menu, released today, is designed by new head chef Terry Shirley who originates from Southend in Essex.

Together with manager Carly Woodward, Terry has created a menu that offers everything from speciality burgers and fish and chips, to finer dishes such as scallops with crispy pork belly, pan fried spiced gnocchi and delicious sharing platters which marry perfectly with the new cocktail menu.

With starters from £4.95, mains from £9 and desserts all £6, Townhouse offers the highest quality affordable dining situated in a airy, modern restaurant setting.

Carly, manager at the Townhouse, said the new menu has ensured that there is something for everyone to enjoy.

"Going into winter we wanted to create a menu that has plenty of hearty and warming dishes, but making sure it still feels like luxury at an affordable price," she said.

"We have everything from meals off the grill, to fish dishes, as well as catering for vegetarians and vegans.

"We also have a new brunch menu, we have the options of light bites as well as an excellent children's menu – remember children under 4’s eat for free!"

Carly said that new chef Terry, who has been with Townhouse since the beginning of June, has gelled so very well with the restaurant's style.

"Terry has a young family so he also understands the need for a good children's menu, which he has created. He's settled in really nicely and it's great to find a gem like him to work with us at Townhouse."

The restaurant has evolved over the years and Carly says that it is down to listening to what the customers want.

"Townhouse is perfect for a special occasion, but it's also great for popping for a lunch break or for some post-work food and drinks," she added.

Along with a new menu comes new perks, including midweek offers on burgers, steaks, fish and chips all from £12 with an alcoholic drink.

The sharing platters – including the Butchers Platter which consists of delicious pulled pork, meatballs, pork belly squares, parfait and a range of bread and dipping sauces – serve as a great meal to enjoy with friends and family.

And with Christmas fast approaching, the restaurant is already taking bookings so if you want to enjoy a delicious meal with the family on Christmas Day, New Year's Eve or to celebrate your Christmas Party in style with live entertainment, Townhouse is the perfect setting.
