Unicorn Nursery in Maesbury celebrated the annual Jeans for Genes day last week, to raise money for Genetic Disorder UK.
Nursery staff and children all dressed up in jeans and had a Denim Party, with Denim Dollies, and games such as Pass the Denim Parcel, designing jeans for Spongebob Squarepants, and they all boogied along to David Bowie’s Jean Genie.
Nursery manager Louise Batham-Willmore said: “There are 6,000 different genetic disorders and 30,000 babies are diagnosed every year in the UK.
"As a nursery that works closely with children from 0 to five years, we just wanted to do our bit at Unicorn to try to help transform children’s lives in some way.”
