A CAR was deliberately set on fire in Ellesmere Port.

Police are appealing for information on the incident, which happened on Wilmslow Drive at around 5.20am on Saturday, September 1.

An unknown offender is said to have ignited the front passenger side of a silver Vauxhall Corsa.

Firefighters attended the scene to extinguish the blaze.

PC Luke Bailey, of Ellesmere Port Local Policing Unit, said: “Despite following a number of lines of enquiry we are really keen to speak to anyone who may be able to assist us further and provide information which could help us identify those responsible.
