A SCHOOL has welcomed an experienced hockey coach to its sporting staff for the new academic year.

Coach Chris Prosser joined Moreton Hall at the start of this term after previously working at Malvern College and coaching Malvern Hockey Club’s women’s first team successfully in the regional league.

Chris’s passion for the sport derived from his school days where he represented his local hockey club at a regional level.

The graduate from the University of Worcester has also worked across schools in Birmingham as a hockey coach and established a flourishing junior programme of talented athletes.

Chris is keen to join Moreton Hall’s hockey provision at an exciting time of development and where the school’s hockey teams are reaping the rewards on the field.

Speaking about his new position, Chris said: “I am excited to be taking the role as head of hockey at Moreton Hall.

“I hope to share my love for the sport and provide students with lots of opportunities to continue to develop and improve their skills.”

Hockey, along with Lacrosse are two of Moreton Hall’s major sports where there is a strong tradition of competitive success, reflected in the results achieved by the teams every year.

Alison McDonald, sports director at Moreton Hall said: “We are delighted to have Chris join us.

“His knowledge of the sport and expertise will be a great asset to the school and our athletes.”
