AN OSWESTRY musician has taken the next step in his career by gaining a teaching qualification.
Bradley McCulloch, 22, has achieved his PGCE (post graduation certificate in secondary education) from Manchester Metrpolitan University.
Mr McCulloch will start teaching music at a Manchester secondary school in September.
His success come after he achieved a first class honours degree in music at Salford University, where he was also awarded top prize in conducting.
Bradley is a former pupil at The Marches School and as a teenager was percussionist for Porthywaen Silver Band.
He now plays for the Fairey Brass Band, which represented Britain at the European brass band championships earlier this year.
