MUSIC LOVERS flocked to Wrexham over the weekend to enjoy Rock the Park.

The three day concert, now in its second year, was held just outside of Wrexham and featured many of the best original and tribute bands around.

Original acts like Pete Samba, Ultrabeat and Karen Parry lined up alongside some of the more whimsically titled tribute bands including Kazabian, Peat Loaf and Badness.

The festival had a minor setback when several wristbands were stolen on the lead up, but despite this the concert itself went off without a hitch.

Fans were entertained with two different stages, with a third exclusively for those camping over the weekend.

Along with the music, festival goers were treated to a fireworks display on the final day, as well as a fun fair and the festival's very own shopping village.

For the event 30 homeless people were also invited along as part of an initiative run by the Wrexham Glyndwr Rotary Club. with the club also running a bucket collection during the weekend.
