THIS year’s Bronington Tractor Run proved to be another successful fundraising event.

The annual run drew tractor enthusiasts from across the area for a scenic journey, which raised around £500 for the Bronington Friendship Club.

Drivers started at Mill Lane Tractors in Bronington and go on a tour around the area before arriving at the Hanmer Arms pub in the afternoon for a celebratory meal.

Funds were raised through drivers paying to take part and donations that were received on the day.

Peter Williams, who organises the event with his brother Mike, said: “We had a very good run. The weather was good for us, we didn’t have any breakdowns or anything like that and it all went smoothly.”

The run, which first started in the 1990s, has raised money for various charities over the years.

The Bronington Friendship Club was formed in 1977 by the late Reg Thomas in memory of his wife, giving people over 65, widows and widowers the opportunity to meet friends and attend various outings.
