An Army helicopter landed in Welshpool for essential repairs after it ran into difficulties during a training exercise.

The Apache attack helicopter stopped off at Mid Wales Airport in Welshpool on Friday afternoon to carry out repairs following an electrical fault which forced an emergency landing on the previous day.

On Thursday, the helicopter was forced to land in a field south of Trawsfynydd after reportedly suffering a technical issue.

No one was injured after it ran into difficulty during a training exercise.
