FREYA Anderson picked up her second gold medal in two nights after another great swim in Glasgow.

The Ellesmere Titans swimmer recorded the fastest time in the 4×200 freestyle relay, coming from behind to add another gold to Great Britain's tally at the European Championships.

The 17-year-old delivered a time of 1:56, to hold off late pressure from Germany and Russia.

Freya's second gold comes after she anchored her team to victory on Monday in the 4x100m medley mixed relay.

She had to fight for the victory however, with a gold medal looking in doubt until she entered the pool.

She said: "I enjoy having a bit of pressure on me as it gets me going. I saw I was being caught and it really hurt, but I wanted to do it for the girls."

Freya's second gold has helped Great Britain towards their total of 14 golds at the championships, bettered only by Russia who have 20.
