Oswestry Air Cadets have been busy 'rubbing shoulders' with the Red Arrows at RAF show.

1165 Oswestry ATC were invited to help out at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) at RAF Fairford.

Each year the airfield hosts a large airshow that extends over a week in ground organization and placement of aircraft and crews from the all over the world.

This culminates in a fantastic but very busy weekend airshow.

The cadets and staff managed to rub shoulders with the likes of the Red Arrows and other display crews but also tv celebrity and Air Cadet representative honorary Group Captain Carol Vorderman.

Besides helping the show organisers the cadets had free time to have a good look in and around some of the aircrafts.

The cadets have plenty more activities over the summer, including helping out at the RAF Shawbury mini airshow before heading on annual camp to RAF Valley on Anglesey.

If you are interested in joining the Cadet sqn, either as a staff or cadet (aged 12 and over), then drop by the HQ in Willow Street, Oswestry on a parade evening on Tuesday or Friday between 6.45pm - 9.30pm.
