A FATHER is asking the Wrexham community to come together to remember the life of his three-year-old son.

Thomas Arthur Jones died suddenly on May 18, 2018 after going to bed and never waking up the next day.

He had celebrated his third birthday just two days prior to his death.

A charity fun day in memory of Thomas will take place on Sunday August 5, 2018 at The Club House on Wrexham Industrial Estate from 12pm-4pm.

Thomas' father, Adam Williams, 34, of Montgomery Road, Wrexham, wants people to come along and donate money to the family's two chosen charities, Hope House Children's Hospice and North Wales Crusaders Wheelchair Rugby League.

He said: "There will be a bouncy castle, inflatable slide, a tombola, a raffle, an ice cream van, a burger van, someone selling candy floss, and that's only what I can remember off the top of my head!

"We want people to come and raise as much money as we can for the two charities.

"Especially with Hope House, until you go through the heartache of losing a child, you don't know that these facilities are there."

Hope House has many facilities which support families after the death of a child, such as Snowflake Suites to allow children to go to the hospice after death, allowing time to say goodbye in a safe environment.

North Wales Crusaders Wheelchair Rugby League is also a cause close to the family.

Mr Williams said: "Thomas' older brother plays with the league so Thomas would always get in a wheelchair and join in with him."

Thomas' mum, Sophie Jones, 26, previously spoke about her son's loving nature.

She said: "He was just a typical little boy who was lots of fun and loved life.

"He was starting to learn Welsh too and he loved cars and trains."

Thomas was also a much loved grandson, great grandson and nephew, and had two brothers, aged one and eight.

Ms Jones said: "The brotherly love that they had for each other was unreal."
