People who are finding themselves unable to make best use out of day tickets sold by other operators on Oswestry Route 2 can now top-up and travel with Arriva for just an additional £1.
To help out commuters who are struggling with the early finish of journeys on the area’s competing Route 2 services, Arriva is encouraging people to jump on board one of its buses instead and exchange their existing day tickets for only £1. This will enable anyone who misses their last bus on the Oswestry/Wrexham corridor to still travel comfortably and affordably using local public transport.
Simon Mathieson, area managing director for Arriva Midlands, said: “We remain committed to serving the local community the best way we can. We understand that people need to get from A to B easily, affordably, and without stress, so we’ve launched this £1 add-on ticket to reassure people that even if they don’t travel with us normally, we’re still here for them should they need us.
“We operate approximately every 30 minutes on the Route 2, from six in the morning until nine at night, calling at Plas Madoc, Cefn Mwar, Chirk and Gobowen along the way. So if you need our help, please don’t hesitate to just jump on to an Arriva bus, and our drivers will top up your ticket, and take you where you need to go.”
