FAMILIES and their pampered pooches gathered in Holt for a fun-filled dog show judged by BBC's Louise Minchin.

Bellis Brothers Farm Shop and Garden Centre hosted the sixth annual Nightingale House Hospice Dog Show on Saturday, July 21.

300 people bought along their family pets to take part in the day and make use of various charity stalls.

Jo Risbridger, the compere's assistant on the day, said: "For the dog show, full Kennel Club rules and regulations applied but we also had novelty classes which were judged by Louise Minchin.

"These were, Best Puppy, Best Veteran, Best Rescue, Most Handsome Dog, Prettiest Bitch, Waggiest Tale, Dog most like it's owner and Dog the judges would most like to take home.

"We had a massive turn out. There were 40 or 50 entries for Most Handsome Dog.

"There were even three or four dogs who were fully dressed up!"

They money raised from the event is still being counted and will go to Nightingale House Hospice.
