Former Ellesmere College pupil Caro Hulme's international career is continuing after she was named in the Wales Senior Women’s Squad that will take on South Africa at London’s Lee Valley Hockey Centre next Monday and Tuesday.
The Rainbow Nation are preparing for the Vitality Women’s Hockey World Cup, which gets under way at Lee Valley on July 21, with more than 100,000 tickets already sold for the event.
Caro appeared for Wales against South Africa at the recent Gold Coast Commonwealth Games when the home nation went down 2-0 in difficult conditions with temperatures reaching 100 degrees.
Caro has just returned from Dublin with her twin sister, Lottie, following a three-match series against Ireland under-21s. She will return to camp next weekend in Swansea as Wales continue to prepare for the First Round of the FIH Open Series to be held in Lithuania next month, with leads to World Cup qualification.
