A SECONDARY school has hailed an "massively successful" open day.
The Marches School in Oswestry hosted the event for Year 4 and 5 pupils and their parents and carers.
They took a tour of the school and saw lessons in various departments.
Headteacher Alison Pearson gave talks and staff were on hand to answer questions and talk about the extracurricular activities on offer, the transport facility and enrichment opportunities available.
Mrs Pearson said: "The Summer Open Evening proved to be a massive success and it was wonderful to see the future waves of students that will be attending the school in years to come.
"We would like to thank everyone who attended and we look forward to meeting new students at our next open evening in September."
The next open evening will be on Thursday, September 20, and pupils in Years 5 and 6 are encouraged to attend.
