ORGANISERS of a charity event took to the skies in preparation for the big day.
Cloud 9 Balloon flights and Lindstrand Technologies representatives set off from Cae Glas Park over the weekend in preparation for the Oswestry Balloon Carnival.
Test flights were also scheduled for today (Monday, June 25).
A host of balloons in various shapes and sizes will take to the air for the event, held in association with Oswestry Town Council, at Cae Glas on August 25-26.
The event is set to raise funds for Nightingale House hospice in Wrexham.
The town will also welcome a continental food market over the Bank Holiday weekend.
