A RISING comedy star has joined the Llangollen Fringe Festival line up.
Lloyd Langford will kick off the festival's 21st birthday celebrations at Llangollen Town Hall on July 19.
The event is the season finale for Llangollen Comedy Club, which this year has seen performances from the likes of Rob Rouse and Stephen Bailey
The South Walian stand-up has appeared on such shows as QI, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Russell Howard's Good News and Man Down.
He is also known for his contributions to the Rhod Gilbert Show on BBC Radio Wales and has performed at comedy events across the globe, including Montreal's just for Laughs Festival.
Llangollen Fringe Festival will offer a wealth of performers from across the arts spectrum from July 19-29.
Lloyd joins a stellar bill that includes the likes of Craig Charles, Eliza Carthy and the Wayward Band, Lee Scratch Perry, Mark Radcliffe and Linton Kwesi Johnson.
There will also be the return of Band for a Day as well as music-themed train and aqueduct trips.
The event rounds off with the closing concert at Valle Crucis Abbey, featuring Golden Fable and the New Sinfonia Orchestra.
