A FAMILY is coming to terms with the shock death of their toddler by organising a fundraiser in Wrexham.

Thomas Arthur Jones died suddenly on May 18, 2018 after going to bed and never waking up the next day.

He had celebrated his third birthday just two days prior to his death.

Thomas' mum, Sophie Jones, 26, of Montgomery Road, Wrexham said: "He was just a typical little boy who was lots of fun and loved life.

"He was starting to learn Welsh too and he loved cars and trains."

Thomas was also a much loved grandson, great grandson and nephew, and had two brothers, aged one and eight.

Ms Jones said: "The brotherly love that they had for each other was unreal."

A Service of Celebration was held at Bethel Chapel on Thursday June 7 and people were asked to "wear colourful clothing to reflect Thomas' happy little character".

Ms Jones wants the community to come together again for a charity fun day in his memory.

She said: "Our two chosen charities are Hope House Children's Hospice and North Wales Crusaders Wheelchair Rugby League.

"I want to raise as much money as possible for these charities in memory of Thomas."

Ms Jones is looking for people to donate raffle prizes and other items such as flowers, cakes and sweets.

She is also asking for any local companies to come forward who can donate a bouncy castle or other activities and games for use during the event.

The charity fun day in memory of Thomas will take place on Sunday August 5, 2018 at The Club House on Wrexham Industrial Estate from 12pm-4pm.
