GREEN-fingered youngsters have done their bit to enhance the town’s scenery.
The Oswestry in Bloom group is vying for a prize in the Royal Horticultural Society’s 2018 Britain in Bloom competition.
Derwen College students have been planting a variety of flowers and plants at Sainsbury’s as part of Oswestry in Bloom 2018
Meanwhile, year six pupils at Bellan House have carefully planned and planted two carpet beds on the entrance to the Central Car Park to impress the judges. Oswestry in Bloom is a group that works to improve the visual appearance of the town.
Oswestry is up for the Large Town category after winning a gold award in last year’s Heart of England In Bloom competition.The judging is to take place towards the end of July or beginning of August.
