Children got the chance to swap telly time for welly time at the Wild Child Party in Ellesmere.
Down at Wood Lane Nature Reserve, children up to the age of five had the chance to experience fire, get mucky and play independently in the wild, while parents were there to step back and observe their little ones ‘in the wild’ thanks to Shropshire Wildlife Trust.
The Wild Child events took place at four safe locations across Shropshire, giving children the opportunity to explore the area in their own way and at their own pace.
Activities included cooking on the fire, den building, potion making, mud painting, making bird feeders and bug hunting.
