Best-selling children's author Jacqueline Wilson visited Oswestry last weekend to talk about her much-loved collection of books.

Former Children's Laureate, Dame Jacqueline Wilson has created over 100 children's books, ranging from the popular book-turned-tv series Tracy Beaker, to Vicky Angel, to The Dare Game.

This time Jacqueline visited The Lion Quays hotel, organised by Booka Bookshop in Oswestry to talk about her new book, Rose Rivers – a story starring old friends and new from the Victorian world of Hetty Feather.

Tim and Carrie Morris, from Booka Bookshop, said the event was a real success.

Carrie said: "It was a huge honour and privilege to bring one of the UK's most beloved authors to Oswestry. She was a delight to meet and work with and it will be one of our most memorable events."
