A lorry carrying chickens overturned on the Gresford Roundabout near Wrexham.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area whiled police removed of the lorry and its cargo of live chickens.
The chickens had to be removed from the HGV cage by cage.
The road was reopened at about 3.30pm

A spokesperson from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “There is a fire engine and an Environmental Protection Unit in attendance to contain diesel from the lorry. The clear-up at the scene is still on-going.”
