Auditions are being held for the true villain of a local feature film and a Shropshire Councillor will be helping to cast for the role.

The film will raise awareness of domestic and child abuse, as well as other kinds of bullying.

Rocking Horse Studios are delighted to have Councillor Vince Hunt involved, who was the former Mayor of Oswestry.

"The fact that someone of Vince's stature is getting involved shows how important it is that we get this right," explained scriptwriter, Gareth Thomas.

"Abuse behind closed doors, within families, effects so many lives and we have to do that justice."

Any local male actors with a playing range of 35 and older are encouraged to get in touch and audition.

"This character is a monster, no question about that, but any actor should jump at the chance to bring him to life,"said Mr Thomas.

Auditions are being held on Sunday, June 24 at the Oswestry Memorial Hall.
