This weekend the 12th annual Food and Drink Festival comes to Ellesmere.

Lincoln McMullan, organiser of the Festival and owner of The Signtists in the town, said that plans are well underway for the weekend's events, which take place on Saturday and Saturday, June 16 and 17 from 10am to 4pm each day.

"We've had so many people phone up to book stalls," he said.

"The Festival has come a long way since the first year, which saw around 17 stalls on the one-day event and torrential rain.

"This year we have over 40 stalls, with two days for people to visit and fingers crossed some lovely sunshine."

The Festival takes place in the Market Hall in Scotland Street and this year there will be outside seating where people can enjoy a drink and bite to eat.

And there will be plenty on offer, ranging from crepes, pizza, Thai food and cakes, to gin, cider, Prosecco and cocktail stalls there to wash down the tasty food.
