A walking group based in Wrexham is raising money for Leonard Cheshire Disability in memory of a friend.
The Wrexham Can Do Steering group will be taking on the Welsh Three Peaks challenge in memory of their friend Becky Wood, who passed away shortly after giving birth in December last year.
Kate Callaghan-Evans, from Oswestry, is one of the ten members of the group who will be taking on the challenge in the first week of June.
"The steering group are determined to do something positive to honour Becky's memory," said Kate.
"The steering group members came with the notion that in life, Becky tackled and climbed all her mountains head on, and now they would like to do the same in her memory.
"We're hoping to have a picnic at the peak and raise a lot of money, which we will split between the charity and Becky's daughter."
