A MAN was taken to hospital after a collision in Connah’s Quay.

North Wales Police are calling for witnesses to come forward after a cyclist collided with a member of the public just before 9.20pm on Sunday night, off Fron Road in the town.

Connah’s Quay Labour Club confirmed to the Leader that the pedestrian hit by the bike is one of its members who had left the club with his wife just before the incident happened.

The Welsh Ambulance Service attended the scene and conveyed a person to the Countess of Chester Hospital.

A spokesman for the club said the man was still in hospital when the Leader went to print and urged anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
