The New Saints midfielder Jon Routledge has signed a new deal with the club ahead of their clash with Bala Town tonight.
The 28-year-old has played a crucial part in TNS's run of six consecutive Welsh Premier League titles since joining from Dumbarton in 2015.
Routledge, who started his career at Wigan Athletic, was delighted to commit to the club.
"I’m happy that I’ve signed and look forward to keep doing well," he told the club's wesbite. "Hopefully a few more trophies next season for the lads."
Saints boss Scott Ruscoe was also delighted with Routledge committing his future to TNS.
"We are really pleased Jon has extended his contract with the club," he said.
"His performances over the past two seasons have been at a very high standard and he’s been instrumental in our improvement, and is key to how we play the game.”
Ian Williams, chief operating operator at Park Hall, added: "Everyone at the club is delighted that Jon has committed himself for a further period.
"Jon has been instrumental in the success the club has enjoyed since he joined a couple of seasons ago and he’s certainly played an important role in the engine room of the team both domestically and in Europe during this period.
"His experience and knowledge of the game is key to our continued success.”
This evening’s game against Bala Town kicks off at 7.45pm. Admission to Park Hall is £8 for adults, concessions £4 and juniors £1.
