The weekend fixtures may have been cancelled because of the snow but now is a great time to nominate members for an Oswestry Sports Award.
Anyone who lives or trains in any sport in Oswestry, or within 10 miles of the town, is eligible for nomination for an award.
Nominating someone is a great way of thanking them for their dedication to the sport and encouraging them to keep going. The nomination forms are simple but the decision on who will win is based on the nomination only. The winners will be judged by the Oswestry Sports Forum Grants Committee. Oswestry Sports Forum will present the annual Sports Awards on Friday, May 11 in Oswestry Cricket Club.
There are six categories for nominations which are as follows Junior Team Award, Disability Sport Award, Veteran Sport Award, Coach of the Year, Contribution to Sport and the Outstanding Sporting Achievement award.
