Shropshire Council are warning people about a council tax scam.
A message on their website says: "We have been advised of a possible scam where customers receive a phone call to advise that they have fallen behind on their council tax payments and that the last instalment for this year needs to be paid. They are then asked to call 020 3930 8128 so that they can make a payment to prevent court action.
"Shropshire Council would never ask you to phone this number if you were behind with your council tax payments."
