A MAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash on the A483, between Welshpool and Newtown.
Police received reports of a road traffic collision between two cars at around 12.50am this morning.
Officers who went to the scene of the crash near Garthmyl found one vehicle on it's roof and two men trapped inside the other vehicle.
A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Both were taken to hospital by ambulance.
"The road was closed to allow the cars to be recovered and reopened at 3.50am."
A spokesman for the Wales Ambulance Service, said: "We sent three crews in emergency ambulances and a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle.
"One patient was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with serious injuries."
