As the nation celebrates World Book Day next week, Oswestry has landed an exciting opportunity for local schoolchildren.
Booka Bookshop in conjunction with The Marches School has been successful in bringing 'The Biggest Book Show on Earth' to the town as one of only six dates taking place across the whole of the UK.
The event on February 27 will see around 600 children from local primary schools in attendance as the town welcomes authors Andy Griffiths, Katherine Woodfine, Olaf Falafel, Abi Elphinstone and Jennifer Bell.
Carrie Morris, from Booka, said: "This is an amazing opportunity for pupils in our local community to listen to and be entertained by some of the best children's authors in the
country."
The other dates in the week-long tour include Dublin, Aberystwyth, Doncaster, Brighton and Newcastle.
