A couple from Ellesmere are celebrating their Diamond wedding anniversary.
Fred and Thelma Griffiths celebrated 60 years of marriage on February 6.
The couple met in 1956 at a newsagents in Ellesmere where Thelma worked. Fred would collect his paper each morning on his way to work as a lorry driver for Ellesmere Dairy.
They married at St Marys Church in Ellesmere in 1958 when Fred was 25 and Thelma was 19.
Fred and Thelma went on to have three children – Dawn, Neil and Dale.
They now have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Both Fred and Thelma have large families and an even larger circle of friends.
Now 85 and 79 respectively, over the years they have enjoyed an active social life and have been very lucky to travel on many holidays.
