The Met Office has issued a severe weather alert for snow and ice in the area.
Rain will turn into sleet and snow tonight until tomorrow, with the warning in place from 8pm today until 3pm tomorrow.
The public are urged to be careful as some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths may be icy.
Journeys made by car, bus and train services may also be delayed.
