THE rain held off for the annual Chirk Fun Day.
Taking place on the AAA’s sports field, the fun day saw the crowds gather and enjoy a whole host of stalls running competitions and selling a variety of items and fronted by charities and local organisations.
There were also performances from Ysgol Y Waun school choir, Border Counties School of Gymnastics and Chirk Castle, who brought along a costumed knight to teach children about the history of the castle – and to sign up some new recruits.
Janos Barber, organiser of the Fun Day, said: “It went really well. There was plenty of people there and luckily it didn’t rain.
“It was a great event and I think everyone enjoyed themselves.”
