A football coach has been recognised for his commitment to promoting girls’ and women’s football in Oswestry and beyond.
Kev Potts, who works predominantly with sides at Oswestry Boys’ and Girls’ Football Club, was the runner-up in the Outstanding Contribution To Community Football category at the Shropshire FA Community Awards.
Kev, who also works within the Shropshire Girls’ and Women's Football League, received his award from Wolverhampton Wanderers legend Steve Bull MBE at a ceremony at the Park Inn in Telford.
Oswestry Boys’ and Girls’ Football Club hold weekly girls-only training sessions, regardless of ability, for girls aged from five to 14 years old.
