A kind-hearted ice-cream man delighted residents at a Chirk care home recently by giving out free frozen treats.
Wrexham resident Tee Smith, owner of the two Mr Tee’s ice-cream vans which operate throughout the county borough and north Shropshire, often visits other care facilities in the area to bring a smile to people’s faces.
Last Friday, the ice-cream vendor whose online adverts use the motto: ‘Delivering smiles and happy times daily’, treated elderly residents at Chirk Court to free ice-cream cones.
He said: “My reason for doing as I did and always do is that I find it very satisfying to be able to bring happiness to others.
“I always get myself involved in community and charity projects as that is my way of giving something back to the community that has given me so much, as in love and respect and also my business interests are also flourishing.
“That is all thanks to the people that live around here. On Fridays we respect our elderly so that today or tomorrow when it is our turn, maybe we will also receive the same respect too.”
