BELLAN House was celebrating a double success recently after two pupils took home silver medals at the West Midlands Voluntary Floor and Vault competition.
Year 6 pupil Ellie Chadwick, and Hannah Pritchard from Year 4, performed a floor routine and two vault routines at the Fenton Manor contest, competing alongside team members from the Border Counties School of Gymnastics in Oswestry where they train.
Taking team silver, Ellie competed in the Under 11s category, coming 19th in the individual standings out of 122, while Hannah also enjoyed team silver in the Under 9s, coming 28th out of 113 in the individual results.
Jonathan Miles, PE co-ordinator at Bellan House, commented: “We are delighted the girls have done so well in the West Midlands competition, their hard work has been well rewarded.”
